Cold Blooded & Bizarre is a family owned small business. We are a specialty reptile pet store and curiosity shop. At CB&B we strive to be a one stop reptile shop that provides the highest quality, healthy exotics and everything needed for their proper care and husbandry. We operate with an animal’s come first philosophy. We work with over 40 breeders, many of which are local to the Carolinas. Additionally, we rescue, rehabilitate and rehome found, injured & unwanted exotic animals, as well as safely remove/relocate nuisance reptiles from Charlotte area properties.

Owners Shay and Michael Edelen, and Patrick Kamberos all grew up around Chicago. Although we met in college, we shared a passion for reptiles and unusual creatures from a very young age. Visiting local exotic pet stores and catch-and-release field herping were among our favorite past times. From newts, hermit crabs, boas, anoles, to tarantulas, all of us also kept unusual and exotic pets as children. That youthful passion has only grown over the years and has now blossomed into Cold Blooded & Bizarre!

Our mission is to educate people and foster a love for some of our planets most misunderstood, and often feared animals. We strive to show the beauty of the creatures from distant corners of the globe as well as those found in our own backyards. Our collection of ethically sourced skeletons, skulls & specimens shows another aspect of nature’s intricate beauty. We also try to be as conscious as possible of the world around us, recycling and reusing as much as we can, especially plastic bait containers & packing material. We are scuba divers and try our best to keep our oceans free of plastic debris so their bountiful diversity can be enjoyed for generations to come.
